9.18. Check of serviceability of functioning of the G-sensor

The sensor of accelerations is among the fragile and easily damaged components, the dropped sensor is subject to replacement.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of accelerations.
  2. Remove the sensor from the car and lay it on a flat surface.
  3. Measure resistance between plugs No. No. 2 and 51 of the sensor (see the illustration Check of the Block of the ABS Relay) — the required value makes 1400 — 1600 Ohms.
  1. Incline the sensor at an angle at least 23 ° — this time resistance between plugs No. No. 2 and 51 has to make 4700 — 5500 Ohms.
  2. Measure resistance between plugs No. No. 1 and 17 of the sensor — the required value makes 70 — 124 Ohms.
  1. At negative results of any of checks replace the sensor.
