9.20. Check of serviceability of functioning of the relay of the electromagnetic valve of the hydraulic ABS modulator

The relay of an electric motor is a part of the block of the ABS relay which at negative results of check is subject to replacement assembled.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the ABS relay block (see the illustration Scheme of an Arrangement on the car of the ABS elements).
  2. Check existence of conductivity between the plug No. 21 and No. No. 3 and 16 of the block of the relay (see the illustration Check of the Block of the ABS Relay). If conductivity is absent in both cases, pass to the following stage of check, otherwise replace the block.
  3. Give the battery tension (12 V) between plugs No. No. 5 and 7 and repeat the previous check. This time conductivity has to take place, otherwise the block is subject to replacement.
  4. Remove stress from the block and measure resistance between plugs No. No. 5 and 7. The nominal rate makes 70.8 — 157.8 Ohms. The faulty block is subject to replacement.
