4.4. Removal and installation of the engine

Removal of the engine is made after preliminary separation of transmission from it. |
Scheme of the organization of a suspension bracket of the power unit

- Switch off ignition.
- Open a cowl.
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Carefully mark all subjects to a detachment lines of communication (electrical wiring plaits, vacuum and air hoses, driving cables, fuel lines and tubes of a cooling path).
- Dump pressure in a power supply system (see Check of compression pressure in cylinders).
- Remove a cowl.
- Empty the cooling system and remove a radiator (see the Head
of the Cooling system and heating).
- Take off belts of the drive of auxiliary units, the generator and assembly of the fan of the cooling system (see the Head of the Cooling system and heating).

- Remove the steering pump and the K/V compressor — without disconnecting hydraulic / refrigerator lines, shift components aside and fix them by a wire.

- Make a detachment of all lines of communication impeding the implementation of the procedure.
- The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props (see
the illustration Scheme of an Institution of Props for fixing of the car in the lifted situation). Remove protection of a case.
- Disconnect reception pipes of system of production of the fulfilled gases from a final collector of the engine.
- Disconnect from transmission of the line of cooling of ATF, driving drafts and an electrical wiring. Take the probe of measurement of the ATF level.
- Mark the provision of a connecting flange of the driveshaft of rather main transfer of the back bridge. Also mark heads of fixing bolts — at assembly they have to be rolled strictly on the former places. Turn out fixing bolts and remove the driveshaft. At once to a zakuporta an opening under installation of a shaft in transmission in order to avoid hit in dirt.
- Remove a starter.
- Turn out bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk. Prop up transmission a cart jack and remove the bearing beam laid under it. Disconnect a basic arm of transmission from the engine block.
- You will hang out the engine from above on the winch.
- Turn out fixing bolts, carefully separate transmission from the engine and take it from under the car (see the Head the Transmission line).
- Give nuts of fastening of support of an engine mount to a frame (see
the illustration Scheme of the Organization of a Suspension Bracket of the Power Unit).
- Lift the engine and take it from the car.

Installation
Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components — track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort.
Having finished installation, make necessary adjustments of driving cables and levels of working liquids.
