10:21. Adjustment of torque of a provorachivaniye of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove assembly of the steering mechanism from the car (see Removal and installation of assembly of the steering mechanism) and clamp it in a vice with soft sponges.
  2. Disconnect hydraulic lines from a case of rack transfer and merge working liquid.
  3. Bring the steering mechanism into neutral situation and make basic marking.
  4. Turn out the adjusting screw, grease its carving part with the fixing sealant, then screw the screw into place and slightly tighten a lock-nut.
  5. By means of a dynamometer key tighten the adjusting screw with effort of 4.9 — 5.9 Nanometers, then again weaken it and again tighten — this time with effort of 0.2 Nanometers.
  6. Connect a special nozzle (KV48100700) to a dynamometer key.
  1. Several times displace a lath at all length of its course, then perform measurement of torque of a provorachivaniye of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism on a corner 180 ° from neutral situation — consider the maximum registered indication and record a shaft in this situation.
  1. Release the adjusting screw and again tighten it with effort of 4.9 — 5.9 Nanometers, having weakened then on a corner 10 — 20 °.
  2. Tighten a lock-nut with the required effort.
  3. Repeat measurement of torque, turning the steering mechanism from an emphasis against the stop. Write down the maximum and average indication of a dynamometer. Average value has to make 0.8 — 1.5 Nanometers, maximum — 0.6 Nanometers.
  4. If any of results exceeds the limit of admissible range, check effort of sliding of a lath (see Check of effort of resistance to sliding of a lath of the steering mechanism) — in case of need repeat adjustment, or replace the steering mechanism.
